Methi Malai Mutter

Today’s recipe is a delicious, sabji-  Methi Malai Mutter. It is so simple to cook and quick too. The dish consists of fenugreek leaves, green peas and fresh cream.


  1. Finely chopped Methi (fenugreek ) leaves
  2. 1 bowl of boiled green peas
  3. 1 onion
  4. 3/4 garlic cloves ( lehsun)
  5. 8/10 cashews
  6. 2/3 green chillies
  7. 1/4 teaspoon garam masala powder
  8. 2 teaspoon ghee
  9. 1 teaspoon sugar
  10. 1 teaspoon cumin seeds ( jeera)
  11. Salt as per taste
  12. 1 bowl of fresh cream


  1. In a vessel add 2 glasses of water and keep for heating. To this add chopped methi leaves and let them boil for only 2 minutes.  Then drain of excess water. Keep it aside
  2. Add ghee in an pan
  3. Add the cumin seeds
  4. In a grinder add cashews, garlic cloves, onion, green chillies.Mix and grind well. Add little water if required and make a smooth paste
  5. Add this paste in the pan
  6. Let it cook for 2 minutes
  7. Add the boiled peas.
  8. Add the par boiled chopped fenugreek leaves.
  9. Add fresh cream
  10. Add sugar and salt
  11. Add  garam masala
  12. Mix well.Let it cook for 3 minutes
  13. Serve with Paratha
